Dunsany defended deeply for much of the first half. They failed to make any great impact when coming forward becuase of this. There was a veritable gulf between the half forward and full fowrard line.
When we did attack lines of communication which are usually so well defined were completly cut off. The passes were just not finding their range.
We started the second half five points down, but as we had done so many times in the last few games, we hoped to turn the game around in the second half, when the opposition tired. It was going to plan somewhat and at one stage we had the deficit reduced to one point, resulting from A well taken Jennifer Cusack point and a goal from Granny.
Unfortunatly for Dunsany the fight back all but ended soon afterwards when we gifted two soft goals to the
Ultans.
Ultans now have two games remaining in the league, one against the current champions Senchalstown and
one against Moylough. Dunsany will be eagerly awaiting the result of both of these games. If Ultans were to loose either one, Dunsany would be forced to replay
this fixture for a place in the final.
I'll keep you posted! But for now, lets cross our fingers that at least Senchalstown can take
maximum points from them.
