The local girls had a great win over Moynalvy in a very exciting U 14 semi final. Dunsany’s defence proved to strong for the opposition and Dionne Meehan was spectacular in goals. Shannon Thynne was an engine in midfield and delivered great balls into the forwards who were all on form, especially Tara Murphy who scored 2-2 for the red and whites!! Over the past few years the girls, despite being an excellent team, have struggled to compete with the very strong opponents that they have had to face in their divisions but they have come on leaps and bounds under manager Jenny Cusack. Supporters who attended the match agreed that it was a very exhilarating game to watch and can’t wait for the Final. We wish the girls the best of luck in the final and we are very proud of how far they have come!
