Thank You!!!
Dunsany Ladies would like to thank all of those who were involved in their annual end of summer festival weekend and for making it a great success. The weekend kicked off on Friday night with an American Mad Hatters Tea Party and cake sale, complete with a Magician who kept all entertained. Ms Bernie Leddy’s head piece won best hat on the night despite having some competition from other extra ordinary hat creations. On Saturday night, Dunsany Clubhouse was transformed into the DGFC Titanic where it set off from Dunsany only to crash land on a desert island. A hilarious night was had by all who attended. On Sunday the over 40’s Men took on the ladies in a tough match of football. Mattie McCabe and Andy Thynne worked the ball well up the field for the Men but despite having a lot of under 40’s on the team the Men were no match for the Ladies, especially with great scores coming from Teresa Mangan and Pat Grimes. Patricia “Paddy” Markham in spite of having a dodgy first half pulled off some magnificent saves in the second half securing the ladies win! Finally and most importantly Dunsany Ladies wish to thank all who sponsored prizes and donated money to the club, it is greatly appreciated. We also wish to extend or thanks to everyone who put time into organising the weekend and to those who took part.
